PUA Midyear 2017

One thing I love about PUA is that during midyear the PUA holds its midyear convention to different parts of the Philippines.  I think this is a great way to know the country, and also for the urologists of different provinces and cities to showcase their hometown and place of practice in a very amazing way.

Plus, this helps in tourism of that place 😆.  And from a resident's point of view, we get the chance to experience something outside of the life inside the hospital.

This year's Midyear Convention, I was very excited.  I get to go to CEBU!!!! This is my first time to go to Cebu!

Heroine Make Kiss Me Smooth Liquid Eyeliner - First Impressions

I was so disappointed with Majolica Majorica Line Hunter that I decided to buy a new black eyeliner and sell it.

I saw Pinay Youtuber Anna Cay hauled a lot of these when she went to HK, so when I was searching online to look for a liquid eyeliner, I decided to try this instead.

Packaging	The packaging of this like the other heroinemake products has an anime (Marie Antoinette) in the box/plastic acetate container. The pen is in black plastic packaging with silver lettering.

Ever Bilena Liquid Lipstick - First Impressions Review

I have an incoming artsymed project so I bought this liquid lipstick, I need a mauvey type of color without breaking my wallet.

Packaging	This comes in clear plastic tube with colored top.  The container is rectangular in shape. This comes in a doe foot applicator that's easy to control.
Smell	Berry Candy scent
Consistency	This has a moussy type, velvety texture.  It has kind of a thick consistency. I got the shade: Cashmere Blush by the way.
Application	It's very pigmented, easy to apply and very comfortable to the lips.  The berry scent smells delicious which disappears eventually.  This feels like you have something on your lips but not that bothersome.  The finish is velvety then dries matte after a few hours. This takes time to set in, I tried to do the kiss test at around 5 minutes after application but it has not set in yet. This last for around 6 hours.  It's not food-proof but kiss-proof after around 1-2 hours.  After eating, there will be disappearance in the inner part of your lips. Here's how it looks after eating my lunch.  You can spread it though so there's no need to retouch during this time. If you'll ask me, I'd say this is a dupe for Happy Skin Shut Up and Kiss Me Lip & Cheek Mousse.
Pros	Affordable Berry Candy Scent Comfortable to the lips, not drying Dries Matte Dupe for Happy Skin Shut Up & Kiss Me Lip & Cheek Mousse
Cons	Takes a while to set in Not Food Proof

Shiseido Majolica Majorica Line Hunter - First Impressions Review

13 Things to Consider in Medical Missions

Summer is already here, and this is also the time when lots of people conduct medical missions and surgical missions. Lots of groups organizing this medical missions.

This post is for those who were recruited to help out in a medical mission, you're one of the heroic doctors who will be serving for free.  You're not part of the organizing committee of the medical mission. Just a simple doctor who's willing to help out.

So you were either recruited or you wanted to join the medical mission, what do you need to do or prepare??

1. First thing that you have to ask is where the mission will be conducted? Is it a one day mission or a major mission wherein you go the the place and stay there for 3-7 days.  Your preparation will be based on the location of the mission.
2. Is it a surgical mission? medical mission? or both? - the materials you will bring will depend on what type of mission it is.  If it's a medical mission, you may have to bring your stethoscope, pulse oximeter, bp app with you.  If it's a surgical mission - usually you don't bring anything since everything has to be sterile and usually the organizers have prepared those already.
3. Wear comfortable clothes - usually I prefer a scrubsuit, since it's really comfortable.  If you don't have one, wear your comfy clothes, something that will abosrb perspiration like tshirt and jeans.

Benefit Hello Flawless Oxygen Wow Brightening Makeup Foundation - First Impressions Review

My... the name is really long for this foundation.  This is my first time to try from this high end brand, I borrowed this from my friend 😆.

Before I tried this product, I asked myself, what is in this product that they can sell it for P1000+ and people are actually willing to pay that amount of money for it... Well let's see...

Packaging	It is in a plastic pump bottle.  I love that it's frosted.  Having it in a pump bottle is an advantage since I think it's more sanitary.

DIY Cushion

I find that the Holika Holika Aqua Petite Jelly BB Cream bottle is too bulky for travelling.  It's summer already and I think we should be able to bring some of our favorite products to travel.

I haven't come across a blog post on how this will perform if it's in a cushion form.  I mean I will not alter the formula right?  But most of the DIY cushion tutorials use liquid foundation or BB cream in their DIY Cushions. Well wouldn't hurt anyone to try.

Clio Kill Brown Pen Liner - Review

It's been a year already since I've been using the Peripera Wholly Deep Liner Marker, and I need to change this already.  I love the Peripera Liner Marker it's just right, the length of the brush, the softness of the bristles and the lasting power of the eyeliner.

But I want to try other pen liners and Clio Kill Brown Pen Liner was one of the recommended brush liners when it was released years before.  I decided to try it since it was also cheaper then the Peripera one.

Packaging	This has a metallic brown plastic packaging. The tip is a brush tip.  But it fills like a felt tip pen than more of a brush type.  It's stiffer than how a brush tip feels like. Stiffer than the Etude House brush tip, stiffer then the Peripera brush liner.

Etude House Play 101 Blending Pencil - First Impressions

There's a new line of Play 101 Pencil released by Etude House.  I love the idea of the Play101 pencil, wherein you can apply a single product to any part of your face: eyes, blush, lipstick etc.

My previous Play 101 pencil got expired and when I saw this in the Etude House stores, I thought why not give this a try if it's as great as the previous ones?

Packaging	The new Play 101 blending pencil is thicker than the old Play 101 pencil.  It still comes in grey plastic packaging, with a twistable end.  One end shows the color of the product.
