Ipad Mini stolen

I lost my ipad mini today.  It was stolen at OPD, including my wallet.  I'm really upset about it, (who wouldn't?).  I'm no angel like others who would wish that the money the robber will get will be used for good or something.  I wish he'll die.  I wish he'll get karma damn it.

My ipad mini.... I'll really miss you... all the things we've shared, all the times you've helped me as a first year resident...

Mr. & Ms Thomasian Doctor Personality

Since I'm the only new girl in the surgery department, I have no choice but to be a contestant of the Mr & Ms Thomasian Doctor Contest, a fund-raising event for the charity patients.

Hulkamania bandana

I'm trying to make a hulk hogan costume.  I started out with his bandana. I used pentel fabric pastels.  I forgot how it can smudge when working.

Thinking of ways to erase the smudges withiut repeating the whole thing. What you think? Any ideas?

Uro flashback

Today, as a 1st yr resident under the urology program, Dr bolong asked me to accompany him in his lecture to the medical students about pedia urology.  I just had flashbacks, not too long ago, I was sitting amongst the students and Dr Bolong came in w/ a female urology resident as well, Dr. Flores.  Now she's our chief uro resident.  A leap of inspiration, maybe someday, I'll be just like her, first starting as a 1st yr then now a chief uro resident. During that time Dr bolong was very proud of her, saying there are only a few female urologists  & we're in need of them. 

First appendectomy

Today, i had my first appendectomy. Iba talaga yun first hand experience. You may read and memorize the steps in the books but nothing can fully prepare you on what you'll have in the operating field.

Luckily, i was accompanied and guided by one of our best seniors.  She was really patient in. Teaching me the conduct of the procedure.

By the end of the surgery, you get this feeling of unexplainable happiness and contentment. What was nice was that my other seniors checked up on me and visited inside the or. You can feel their moral support. Hihi.

Antislip foot socks

I bought foot socks yesterday. They say they were 'anti-slip'. So today, at the hospital, tried them on.

Well, so far, ang sakit sa paa! My toes were already crying about it. Plus they keep on slipping out of my feet!

So.... thought of a way to make them really anti-slip.  I attached a silk ribbon at the back then added a button to secure the ribbon on my feet.  Here are the pics

Shocking Realization

I can't believe my last post was since December 2012.  It's been really a while. Many things have happened, now, I'm a surgery resident in UST. Now you'll realize how easy the life was when I was a medican intern compared to my life now as a Surgery Resident.  You'll never realize it until you've been one.

That's my 1st shocking realization.

My 2nd realization was that at least once in my resident life I was able to insert my passion for crafting.

My 3rd realization is..... IN SERVICE EXAM IS NEXT SUNDAY!!!!! OH NO!!!!!
