Laneige Basic Care Moisture - Review

I got the trial kit version: Laneige Essetial Power Skin Refiner &  Laneige Essential Balancing Emulsion.  These both have  been part of my travel skin care kit since last year.  I only use it during my travels and since I use it in such short time and in different weathers, it took a while for me to make a review for this.

Packaging	Both come in plastic cylinder containing of 15 mL each.  It has a twistable cap and the container is small perfect for travelling.
Smell	This has the same smell as the sleeping mask, sweet floral scent.
Consistency	The Skin Refiner has a runny gel like runny consistency like the usual consistency of "essence".  The emulsion has a creamy consistency. Laneige Essential Balancing Emulsion Laneige Essential Power Skin Refiner
Application	This is not as lightweight as I expected it to be.  You can feel a little something on your face when you apply this.  This has withstand different types of weather.  When I went to HK, it was summer during that time and my skin just looks soft, plump and radiant whenever I use this.  Another is when I went to Melbourne, during winter season, it was my first time to experience winter and I was expecting my naturally dry skin, be more dry after taking baths in Australia.

Midyear 2017 empties

I can't remember if these are everything, sometimes I throw the empty containers away, sometimes I keep them.  Anyways, here are a few of those that I was able to keep.

1. Banila Co Clean it Zero Cleansing Balm - I love this so much that this is my holy grail cleansing balm.  It can blur your eyes for a while, but I just love it so much! Actually I'm on on my 3rd tub already.  I love the smell, I love that it melts away my makeup just like that.  It removes the step of scrubbing your face and or rubbing your face with cotton pad or tissue which sometimes can irritate your skin.   You can read my first impression here
2. Etude House  Lovely Cookie Blusher (Grapefruit Jelly) - This has been with me since 2015. Haha and I haven't finished it! But my skin is already itchy when I apply this so I have to buy a new one.  This just gives you that hint of blush.
3. Mizon Snail Repair Eye Cream - I like that this is very lightweight to my eyes.  I can't say that this did anything remarkable to my eyes, well maybe also because I always forget to apply this in my eyes.   Read my 1st impressions of this here.  To think this lasted for 16 months, for a small tube although like I said before, I did not use this every day.
4. Heroinemake Long & Curl Mascara - This has become my holy grail mascara ever since I tried this this year!  It's just perfect for your eyelashes.  I know that mascaras are only supposed to be used for 3 months only, but I was able to stretch this to 5 months.  Well it's expensive, so why throw it away at 3 months? Anyways, at 5 months, there's still some left of the product but I started noticing that its performance is not as great as 1-2 months of initial usage.  I'm using the Volume & Curl Mascara now and I'll let you know what I think once I finished it. 5. Biore Uru-Uru 2-in-1 instant foaming wash - This has a delicious apple scent which I love, lasted pretty much for 4 months.  I use this once a day at night as part of my double cleansing routine.  This feels like putting marshmallow onto your face.  At first, this stings my skin, but after a while of continous usage, I don't feel the sting anymore.  If you want to read my first impressions, here
6. Biore UV Face Milk - I just love this, even if this is for oily skin, me, being a dry to combination skin type, this just works well.  I love Biore sunscreens! I'm just trying out the other lines, but I've been loyal to Biore ever since trying out my first Biore Sunscreen last year. Biore sunscreens are just my holy grail sunscreen, not even canmake mermaid gel, nor Innisfree sunscreen could replace this.  I used this all up in 5 months of everyday, once a day, one layer of application.

Eres Tu My Daily Armor Brightening - Complex Sun Cream - First Impressions

I've got to lessen the length of my titles, why do some cosmetics have long names?? Enough ranting...

I bought this sunscreen in my trip to Cebu.  The main reason was, I did not notice that my Sulwhasoo sample got emptied while I was in Cebu.  Good thing SM Cebu is very near our hotel, so I was able to go to Watson's to and buy me some cosmetics.

Packaging	I did not find a full size of this product, so I guess they only have this in sachet form.  This has a very bright pink colored sachet.

Laneige Sleeping Lip Mask vs Lip Balm

I've read mixed reviews for this sleeping lip mask.  Others loved it so much while others thought of this as just a glorified lip balm.

The price is really steep, Php 700+ for a lip product?  Luckily, they released a trial/travel size.  When I tried this for the first time I also thought it's just a glorified lip balm, but I thought, maybe the effect will show after some time of using it.

So here's how I did the experiment (if you're in the medical field, this is called a randomized controlled trial, hahaha). I tried applying the product everynight before sleeping, then I brush my teeth and have my breakfast the next morning.  After which I take a picture of my lips.  Then I apply the same lip tint for both tests.  I wear a Soft Lips Lip Balm then The Chateau Labiotte Wine Tint for 1 whole day.  Then I remove all my makeup by the end of the day with Banila Co Clean it Zero.

In between 2 product use, there's a 1 week in between wherein I won't put on anything on my lips at night, not even lip balm.  Just the Soft Lips Lip Balm in the morning before the wine tint.

For this test, I chose Burt's Bees Soothing Lip Balm as the Contender.  I find this lip balm very soothing to my lips when they're irritated from the lip products.

The Face Shop Blanclouding White Moisture Cream - First Impressions

This has been in my stash for a long time.  I actually forgot about this and when I was organizing my makeup stuffs, I came across of this again.  I got this as a freebie from one of my purchases in an online shop (Sorry I can't remember...)

Packaging	This is just a sample sachet, so I won't comment on the packaging.  I love the little oblong on the right side though, it looks like glowing hehe.
Smell	Smells really good! Like clean scent with a little hint of citrus.
Consistency	The consistency is creamy (well duh? It's a cream hahaha.)

Cosrx Advanced Snail 96 Mucin Power Essence - First Impressions

I bought this one also from the Cosrx Line.

I got my Cosrx sample from Angellearkin.  They cost P20 each sample.

Packaging	No comment on the packaging since I bought the sachet.
Smell	None
Consistency	Slimy consistency, but this is more watery than the all in one snail cream and more of gel type.
Application	I first applied it in the morning, at first it will feel sticky to slimy, and at first I didn't notice any difference.  It didn't affect my makeup also.  I again applied it at night, and it has the same effect as the Advanced Snail All in One Cream.  It felt more moisturized, plump.  The only difference I noticed is that it's smoother compared the the all-in-one cream. I didn't break out from this.

Pros	What I love about this is that it really makes your skin feel good and smooth.

Cosrx Advanced Snail 92 All In One Cream - First Impressions Review

I welcomed  Valentine's day with an emergency surgery.  Things only can happen to doctors 😆

I started reviewing samples already, since it takes a lot of money to review some products, and all the products that I review are bought by me, unless if a friend or relative gave them as a gift.

I saw many youtubers rave about the Cosrx line and I've heard great reviews from that line.  I checked it online and it's pricey for my budget.  So I first tried it out with samples first, that way it will be cheaper and I'll just buy it if I really liked it.

I got my Cosrx sample from Angellearkin.  They cost P20 each sample.

Smell	None
Consistency	Slimy consistency
Application	I first applied it at night, at first it will feel sticky to slimy, but once it sets in you'll feel that your face is slowly absorbing it.  I was not able to feel how great it was until the next morning when I woke up.  My face felt soft, hydrated, plump.  The feeling is similar to the Laneige Sleeping Mask although a little more smoother than the Laneige one. Then I applied it as my moisturizer under my makeup.  My skin felt great even under the makeup.  It did not affect how my makeup sat on my face.
Duration of use	1 day
Pros	What I love about this is that it really makes your skin feel good.

Heimish All Clean Balm - First Impressions Review

I was intrigued with this product, since in Youtube, the beauty gurus had rated this as their best cleansing balm, beating Banila Co Clean it Zero by a little.  So I decided to try this.  But I saw that it was pricey like the Banila Co also and I wouldn't want to splurge that much.

Luckily, there's an online shop in Instagram: @kbeautycafe that sells these Heimish All Clean Balm in sample sizes (for P110 only!)

Packaging	The trial size comes in like a capsule form, where you peel the top off to get some of the product, and you can't close the lid back again unless you place a tape on it.

Sulwhasoo Firming Cream - First Impressions Review

I've been intrigued with creams from Sulwhasoo, since I've seen good reviews in social media.  The main con for this brand is that it's expensive, and classified as a luxurious brand.  To satisfy my curiousity, I bought a sample from online shop in instagram.

Packaging	No comment on the packaging since I bought the sachet. But it's simple and elegant.
Smell	Citrus, herbal scent
Consistency	The cream is moderately thick.
Application	When you apply it, it feels moderately thick and a little heavy on your skin.  It feels a little stick when you applied it at first.  But after your skin has absorbed the cream, it feels light and the stickiness disappears.  At first I thought that there's nothing special with this cream, it feels like any regular cream, but after around 1 hour, I felt the effect already.  It was moisturizing and I can feel my skin get 'plumped' (if that's the proper term).  Also the citrus herbal scent which I really don't like, disappears eventually.  It kind of feels like you're putting some snail products actually...

Pros	What I love about this is that it really makes your skin feeeel gooooooood!  After a while of applying it feels kind of luxurious

Leaders Insolution Face Mask Sheet - Review

I love using face mask sheet, there's something in it that makes you happy.  Maybe it's a subtle way of pampering yourself.  My favorite face masks as of the moment are those of Leaders in Solution.  In fact, I love them so much that I hoard everytime I see it in stores.

Scent	One of the main reasons I love this face mask sheet is that it smells really good! A little floral I think, I'm not good at describing scents.

Application	It feels really gentle on your skin when you apply it. The consistency of serum inside is slippery, not sticky. The size of the mask sheet, is a little too large for me, but doesn't bother me since I prefer more than lacking in size.
Immediate After	Your skin feels refreshed, not sticky at all. And true to its claim, your face feels moisturized

Baroness Snail Mask Sheet - 1st Impressions

I noticed that I had korean mask sheet hauls and I haven't made any review on at least a single face sheet mask.

I think this is one of my very 1st sheet mask I bought, from 

Beauty MNL in one of their sales offers.  This is also the first time I've heard of the brand Baronness.

Packaging	Looks ordinary, nothing special or cute with the packaging
Scent	Smells like soapy floral, not bothering
Mask Sheet	Regular cotton sheet mask
Application	Feels cool to the skin when applied.  I like that the product doesn't get into my eyes like other sheet masks. Of course still looks weird like other sheet masks but very fun and relaxing to do.
Immediate after	Immediately after removing the sheet mask (30 min), I like it that it left my skin smooth, non-sticky, light feeling. The non-sticky feeling is what I loved the most of this product.
Morning after	Skin feels smooth, well-hydrated, soft
Price	Got it on sale Php 50. I think regular price is Php 80
