One Bite Iphone Case

I've been crazy with needle felt embroidery this past few days, it started with the Matryoshka iphone case, now I've created a new one!!! With more embroidery!!

This is what I called vector-to-needle felt embroidery! Inspired by vector art of Jerrod Maruyama, turned into needle felt embroidery!

I'm not that of a fan of snow white, comparing to other disney princesses, but when I saw Jerrod's work, I just couldn't stop myself from embroidering it.

I getting crazy with this technique! I wanna do another one!!!!!

Ipod shuffle watch strap

I'm naming this project as: Music in your soul.  Remember the earlier bijou strap I made for my ipod shuffle?
I've used it for trial for I think less than 1 month, so in my next design of my bijou strap, I added a new feature, an earphone winder.  That way, you can safely atore your earphones when not in use & still wear your ipod shuffle with great pride w/o worrying where to put your earphones.

This is my new design:
With incredibly great features:

I'm so excited to make another one.  I think I'm getting addicted to felt crafts again!

Twin Bows

I just saw these bows & I fell in love with them.  So I combined them w/ head turbans for babies

I'm giving these away as gifts to Yuna & Rian! 2 of the cutest babies I know!

I always enjoyed shopping stuffs for babies.  I don't know why hahahaha. Pero nakakatuwa siya promise. Especially if yo're imagining how the babies would look like wearing it.

The Makings of Cosa Nostra Headdress

Let me briefly show you how I made the Cosa Nostra Headdress.  Sorry only few pictures since I was in a hurry making this.

Materials I used:
  • ribbon hairpiece - I bought this from Landmark, Trinoma
  • Feathers
  • faux pearl beads
  • acrylic gemstones, flatbacks
  • velvet ribbon
  • E6000 / hot glue gun
  • jump rings, lobster locket, extender, headpin
  • scrap ball chains

First, you'll measure the circumference of your head then cut the ribbon to desired length

Second we'll attach headpin & um.. I don't know what it's called but it's in the picture. I glued the ribbon using E6000

Then I put in lobster lock & extender to both ends.

3rd: I took some acrylic rhinestones & attached it to the ribbon, using hot glue gun.
4th: I took some scrap ballchains & attached it to lobster locks, then I attached it to big rings.

Then I glued the big rings to the ribbon using E6000

The other ball chains I attached it behind the rhinestones to hide the other ends.

I made a strand of pearls & attached it as well.

5th: I took the ribbon clip, then attached the 2 feathers at the back to give me that 'flapper' feel of the 1920s.
Here's the finished product!

when worn!

Cosa Nostra Headdress

We're having our Intern's Party tomorrow.  It's a themed party, Mafia/1920s fashion etc etc.  This will be the ONLY intern's party I will be able to attend to.  Well the other parties? They're usually on the date I'm ON DUTY so no choice but to stay in the hospital.  Anyways I'm excited for tomorrow.

I think that I won't be buying a dress for the party, well, because I think that flapper dress is not my really type of fashion.  So I don't think that it will be practical for me to buy the flapper dress just for 1 event.  I'll just look into my old wardrobe & work with it.  Hehe, I'll be posting the pictures tomorrow.  Right now I'm from duty, so I couldn't detail what I'll be wearing tomorrow. Just watch out for the full get up.

I was 1/2 day today, luckily! So I stopped by at Trinoma to look for any accessory for the party.  I'll just invest on accessories since I won't be spending on the dress anyways.  Well I searched through landmark, I was tired, & I only have limited time to snoop around.  I bought a hairclip, & I was looking for feathers but no feather inspired accessory fit for me.  Luckily I was able to find a pair of earrings w/ feathers that have the right length that I want to.

So.... I converted the earrings etc etc, scrap ribbons, etc etc, my scrap here at home & here's my finished product

I'll tell you the details of how I made this later... right now I'm sleepy, 'til next time!

Needle felting with swarovski accents

I was browsing through facebook, then I came accross this page:

MEET: Angela Andrews of Woolly Duck

I was inspired by her cupcakes!  So with that inspiration in mind, I now am pumped to do another MTO from Dra Dizon
I hope she likes it, it's my first time to try my felt twister
Turned out great hehe.  Hope she likes it.

Come to think of it, this is supposed to be for her daughter, but now that I've finished the cupcake, I think it's not suitable for young kids, she might swallow the rhnestones! Oops... will make another one is she doesn't like it. hehe.

Swarovski addict

Vintage may be the trend nowadays, but I still can't resist the fact that I really love swarovski crystals!!!  They may be out of trend but nothing beats its classic look & elegance.  Here's just a few of my swarovski works:

I come to notice, I have lots of green!!! It's not because it's my favorite color, it's because I just have lots of stock here hehe.

Another Owl is born

This is especially made for my friend.  She's long requested that I make her a purple owl pouch for her mp3 player, but due to my tight schedule I wasn't able to make her one.

Now I find time to make her an iphone case.

I love the color combination of this one.

Secret behind this project: I had lots of mistakes in this project, probably due to sleepiness while making it.

Project type: Felt
Project time: 3 days (on my free time)
Date: 2/22/12
Pricks/Injuries: none

Another owl in progress

One of my residents saw my owl iphone case, & he asked if I have one for iphone 4. I said, I can make you one nalang po doc. Then he said ok, how much? I haven't thought about it yet actually.... I asked what color?? He said, pink...

Now I'm working on it hehe. Almost done. I'm actually lazy to take a picture using my digital camera, so I just used my iphone to take a picture of it.
