How to Hide You've Been Crying

No matter how hard we try to prevent it, sometimes, we cannot help it but cry.  Whether it's because you broke up with your loved one, you watched a tear-jerking movie, you were hurt, you were depressed etc.

After you stopped crying,  you are now in a dilemma of going outside, you can't let people see you looking with red puffy eyes and nose from all the tears your eyes produced and redness of your nose from blowing into the tissue.

After gaining your composure and emotions... it's time to bring out your makeup kit.

1. Wash your face, preferably with cool or cold water. You can apply something cold over your eyes, like cold towel or spoon to decrease puffiness of your eyes.

2. Moisturize your skin with your moisturizer and apply sunscreen.

3. Apply medium to full coverage foundation.

Here, I used Laneige BB cushion shade C13.

4. Apply your concealer to your eyelids, under eye, nose to cover the 'redness'

5. Apply a white eyeshadow to the inner corner of your eyes.

6. Apply your everyday eyeshadow, eyeliner, mascara, blush-on, lip tint

Here, I've used my Canmake gold, orange, brown eye shadow, Holika Holika jewel pen (gold), Peripera brown liquid eyeliner pen, Heroinemake long and curl mascara. For my blush-on, I used Etude House pink powder blush-on and Labiotte wine tint for my lips

7. And you've concealed to the people you just cried.

Heroine Make Long & Curl Mascara and Remover - First Impressions

People have been raving about this mascara, saying it's their holy grail mascara.  I was skeptical at first to try this out for 2 reasons: First, it more expensive than my usual P200 worth of mascara from Faceshop, and it's said to be very difficult to remove since it's really waterproof!

Well since part of me wanted to try this out for a long time, I just told myself why not give it a try anyways.

Packaging	Simple black plastic packaging for the mascara with silver top, looks simple and elegant.  For the remover, pink plastic. As for the Bristles of the mascara... The wand is curved with just the right amount of length of the bristles. The mascara remover on the other hand had super short bristles.
Smell	This smells like really like chemical.  Do you know the smell when you curl your hair in the salon? That's how it smells like, although when you apply it, you won't smell it anyways.
Consistency	It's a little watery although what I love about it is that it doesn't go all over the place.
Application	When you apply it, you can really tell that it makes wonders to your eyelashes! It can coat your individual lashes with ease, it lengthens them and volumize a little although not so much.  It gives you that really made up look but still looks natural which was why I really love this. Here's a picture of one eye with mascara and the other without.  It's not even clumpy! It lasted for 12 hours in my case which I had to remove after 12 hours since I don't like sleeping with makeup on. But I bet it can last longer, since it didn't really budge. It's really Waterproof! Here's me splashing water all over it. I tried removing it with Heimish All Clean Balm and it didn't work. I then tried applying mascara remover over it, and it made me removing it a lot easier with just 1 coat of remover.
Duration of use	1 day
Price	800 for both the mascara and mascara remover
Pros	It really coats your every lash Doesn't clump Waterproof
Cons	Chemical Scent Price Difficult to remove if you don't have the mascara remover
Buy again?	Yes!
Recommend?	Definitely!

Heimish All Clean Balm - First Impressions Review

I was intrigued with this product, since in Youtube, the beauty gurus had rated this as their best cleansing balm, beating Banila Co Clean it Zero by a little.  So I decided to try this.  But I saw that it was pricey like the Banila Co also and I wouldn't want to splurge that much.

Luckily, there's an online shop in Instagram: @kbeautycafe that sells these Heimish All Clean Balm in sample sizes (for P110 only!)

Packaging	The trial size comes in like a capsule form, where you peel the top off to get some of the product, and you can't close the lid back again unless you place a tape on it.

Chateau Labiotte Wine Lip Tint - First Impressions

This has been in my stash for quite a while now, since I have too many lippies still needed to use all um before venturing on a new lip product.

The shade that I got to try out is CR01 something perfect for everyday use. I bought mine from an online shop in Instagram: Mei Satsuki (@memey_satsuki).  She has also a shoppee and facebook account.

Packaging	Packaging is one of the best feature of this lip tint.  The miniature wine bottle is so darn cute!
Smell	The smell is my most favorite feature of this lip tint.  It smells reallly realllly good like a legit wine.  And when you apply it, it gives you that good feeling and the scent is only temporary since if it's always there, you may be irritated with it.
Consistency	Watery
Application	The smell when you apply it is really delicious.  Immediate application, you'll feel it's really sticky but after a while the stickiness will be gone.  The applicator is a doe foot applicator.  It's very lightweight when you apply it, you won't feel you have lip product in your lips.  It's not moisturizing.  But it's not drying also.  My inherent dry lips didn't dry/chap when I use this product.  It's ok to not apply lip balm underneath it. If you do apply lip balm, it may look patchy though. Kissproof Test - Kissproof!, NOT Foodproof Longevity Test - Gradient Lips For the gradient lips, it lasted for around 4 hours before you need to retouch. Longevity Test - Full Lips For the full lips, it lasted for around 6 hours.
Duration of use	2 days, 1 for the gradient, 1 for the full lips
Pros	Smells delicious not drying
Cons	Lasts for 4-6 hours only (I prefer really long lasting lips products.) Expensive (P405) Not foodproof
Recommend?	Yes, if you won't look at the price

Sulwhasoo Firming Cream - First Impressions Review

I've been intrigued with creams from Sulwhasoo, since I've seen good reviews in social media.  The main con for this brand is that it's expensive, and classified as a luxurious brand.  To satisfy my curiousity, I bought a sample from online shop in instagram.

Packaging	No comment on the packaging since I bought the sachet. But it's simple and elegant.
Smell	Citrus, herbal scent
Consistency	The cream is moderately thick.
Application	When you apply it, it feels moderately thick and a little heavy on your skin.  It feels a little stick when you applied it at first.  But after your skin has absorbed the cream, it feels light and the stickiness disappears.  At first I thought that there's nothing special with this cream, it feels like any regular cream, but after around 1 hour, I felt the effect already.  It was moisturizing and I can feel my skin get 'plumped' (if that's the proper term).  Also the citrus herbal scent which I really don't like, disappears eventually.  It kind of feels like you're putting some snail products actually...
Duration of use	1 day
Pros	What I love about this is that it really makes your skin feeeel gooooooood!  After a while of applying it feels kind of luxurious
Cons	Herbal Scent Expensive for the full size product
Recommend?	Yes, if you won't look at the price

Biore Cleansing Oil Review

My Banila Co Clean it Zero has reached pan already, and I wanted to try another makeup remover.  I bought Biore Cleansing Oil from Watson's to test it out.

Packaging	The dispenser is purple plastic bottle with a pink pump.  The bottle is translucent so you can see how many products you still have left.
Smell	It has an apple scent
Consistency	It's an oil, but when you wash off with water, it will not leave an oily feeling.
Application	I usually pump a small amount into a cotton pad.  I love the apple smell of the oil when I apply it on to my make up.  It doesn't really remove the mascara as effectively as banila co or ever bilena.
Duration of use	1 week
Price	Php 299. Can be bought in Watson's, Landmark, PCX
Pros	Not drying smells good: apple scent
Cons	When it gets into your eyes... It hurts like hell! Doesn't completely remove mascara
Buy again?	No, will use other makeup remover
Rating	7/10

The Last Lecture - Lessons

I thought I'll place some of the lessons here in from the book The Last Lecture.  So I can remember them...

1. Have something to bring to the table, because that will make you more welcome
2. If you can find an opening, you can probably find a way to float through it.
3. You've got to get the fundamentals down, because otherwise the fancy stuff is not going to work.
4. When you're screwing up and nobody says anything toyou anymore, that means they've given up on you
5. People are more important than things. 
6. Complaining does not work as a strategy.  We all have finite time and energy.  Anytime spent whinning is unlikely to help us achieve our goals.  And it won't make us happier.
7. It's not how hard you hit.  It's how hard you get hit.. and keep moving forward
8. Experience is what you get when you didn't get what you wanted.  And experience is often the most valuable thing you have to offer.
9. I still try to handwrite notes when it's important to do so.  It's just the nice thing to do.  And you never know what magic might happen after it arrives in someone's mailbox
10. If you work more hours than somebody els, during those hours you learn more about your craft.  That can make you more efficient, more able, even happier.
11. Sometimes  all you have to do is ask, and it can lead to all your dreams coming true.
12. We cannot change the cards we are dealt with, just how we play the hand.

Leaders Insolution Face Mask Sheet - Review

I love using face mask sheet, there's something in it that makes you happy.  Maybe it's a subtle way of pampering yourself.  My favorite face masks as of the moment are those of Leaders in Solution.  In fact, I love them so much that I hoard everytime I see it in stores.

Scent	One of the main reasons I love this face mask sheet is that it smells really good! A little floral I think, I'm not good at describing scents.

Application	It feels really gentle on your skin when you apply it. The consistency of serum inside is slippery, not sticky. The size of the mask sheet, is a little too large for me, but doesn't bother me since I prefer more than lacking in size.
Immediate After	Your skin feels refreshed, not sticky at all. And true to its claim, your face feels moisturized

Recommendation	Definitely
