Jam for Jim

This was a fund-raising event that my friend/batchmate organised to help one of our consultants in general surgery.  I personally was not close to him, since I rotated in GS only for 2 years.  But I always had the impression of him being very kind and easy to talk with.  My encounter with him usually were when I call for an appendectomy case and he's the service consultant.

We made this our date, our first time to go into concert even before his injury, since we never went to a concert before.  It's amazing when groups of doctors from different specialties, different ages, come for a common cause, to help a colleague.
We went there a little early, it was strict there, and we couldn't enter before the opening, but since our friend is the organizer, we were able to get in and see the bands practice.
So while waiting for the opening, we just took lots of selfies and played with our Instax Mini 8.

Here are some of the TCVS fellows singing.
And of course our full support when our friend sang on stage as well.  And take note, the whole band behind playing the music were doctors as well.
After our friend sang, Ivan ask him to sit beside him and even started the conversation.  This is not typical of his personality since he's a very quiet type.  But I was surprised here he initiated the conversation, I think he missed him.
I prevented my tears when the consultant's daughter talked in front thanking those who went to the event and sang as well.  I know it must be really hard for her to smile there in front of all the other people and perform when you know your father is sick. Kudos to her strength.

Also there was a bar inside, and I was teasing him, order ako cocktail, and he was strict saying, "No".
