Urban Decay Naked Ultimate Basics Palette - First Impressions

I did not plan on buying this, since this is a luxury brand.  But when I travelled to San Francisco, I saw this 1 day before my last day in USA and it was on sale for 50% off at Macy's and even if I already bought a matte eyeshadow palette, I couldn't resist and bought this one also.

I was actually on the hunt for a matte eyeshadow palette when I went to USA, I was very specific, should be on the "brown" or neutral shade, and with matte colors.  Something I don't usually use.  I am a pink glittery eyeshadow type of person.

Packaging	I will begin by showing the box that it came with. And when you take it out of the box.... This looks so luxurious!!! It's in a bronze colored plastic square palette.  The brand name and the name of the palette is embossed as well. It feels kind of heavy than my other palettes, well this has a lot of shades compared to other palettes also.   The expiration is 24 months once opened (good, at least it's longer than the usual 12 months). And when you opened the palette, it has a big mirror in the cover of the palette.  The palette also is magnetic, when you close it, you can hear the snap of the magnet.  The free brush is also amazing! It's soft and you can actually use it (I don't have this type of eyeshadow brush, so this is quite useful for me personally.)
Smell	light makeup smell
Swatch	This has a total of 12 shades. 11 matte shades and 1 satin shade (Blow). The shades were really pigmented and "So BUTTERY"!!!!
Application	And I will repeat again, the shades are "BUTTERY"!!! I so much love the formula of these shadows! It glides smoothly, it's blendable and pigmented!  I actually tried to touch my eyelids after applying the shadows and they were really smooth! I love the color range of this palette since it's on the neutral side, it's perfect for someone (like me) who doesn't have a neutral palette nor a brown palette.  This is really great for everyday. I'm a glitter person and yet I still love this matte look!  I only experienced this joy with this palette! Longevity Test: Two thumbs up for its longevity, after 12 hours didn't even budge! Now I know why people get crazy over the Urban Decay Naked Palettes! It's in the formula of the eyeshadows!!!!!
