Twin Bows

I just saw these bows & I fell in love with them.  So I combined them w/ head turbans for babies

I'm giving these away as gifts to Yuna & Rian! 2 of the cutest babies I know!

I always enjoyed shopping stuffs for babies.  I don't know why hahahaha. Pero nakakatuwa siya promise. Especially if yo're imagining how the babies would look like wearing it.

Captain America Needle-felt Pendant Tutorial

I'm trying again another tutorial. Pardon me for the quality of pictures, I just used my phone in taking pictures while I was doing the project.

Here's the necklace we're doing today

Materials you'll need:
  • felting needles
  • sponge
  • red, blue, white wool roving
  • silver filigree
  • jump rings
  • ball chain necklace
  • E6000 glue
  • Blue feathers
  • Star-shaped crystal
Step 1 - get some red wool roving & stab w/ your felting needle until you get a flat circle.

Step 2 - get some white wool roving & roll it between your palms to make it more elongated.  You could twist it to make it more "linear".

Step 3 - stab the white roving into your red circle.

Step 4 - Get some blue roving & stab it onto the center.

Step 5 - After stabbing some time, you'll end up with this.

Step 6 - Get a star shaped swarovski crystal & glue it to the center using E6000. Now you have Captain America Woolcandie.

Step 7 - Get the silver round filigree or round silver setting & glue the captain america woolcandie into it.  Step 8 - Attach 2 jumprings, at 12 o'clock & 6 o'clock position of the filigree.
Step 9 - attach the 2 feathers at the jumpring at the 6 o'clock position & ball chain at 12 o'clock position.

Here's you're end product!

'til next tutorial! =D

The Makings of Cosa Nostra Headdress

Let me briefly show you how I made the Cosa Nostra Headdress.  Sorry only few pictures since I was in a hurry making this.

Materials I used:
  • ribbon hairpiece - I bought this from Landmark, Trinoma
  • Feathers
  • faux pearl beads
  • acrylic gemstones, flatbacks
  • velvet ribbon
  • E6000 / hot glue gun
  • jump rings, lobster locket, extender, headpin
  • scrap ball chains

First, you'll measure the circumference of your head then cut the ribbon to desired length

Second we'll attach headpin & um.. I don't know what it's called but it's in the picture. I glued the ribbon using E6000

Then I put in lobster lock & extender to both ends.

3rd: I took some acrylic rhinestones & attached it to the ribbon, using hot glue gun.
4th: I took some scrap ballchains & attached it to lobster locks, then I attached it to big rings.

Then I glued the big rings to the ribbon using E6000

The other ball chains I attached it behind the rhinestones to hide the other ends.

I made a strand of pearls & attached it as well.

5th: I took the ribbon clip, then attached the 2 feathers at the back to give me that 'flapper' feel of the 1920s.
Here's the finished product!
